Black Homeschoolers of Central Florida, Inc. has been serving the Greater Central Florida homeschool community since 2009, providing support, classes, field trips and learning opportunities, along with hosting events for homeschooled youth grades Pre-K-12th. 


Black Homeschoolers of Central Florida, Inc. provides technology such as laptop computers, resources, and curriculum for our members to check out in our Lending Library Program. Class studies have spanned from entomology and aviation to book writing and publishing, and our annual Science and Geography Fair and Junior Achievement Financial Literacy Course and trip to JA BizTown has become a big hit. 


Not only does Black Homeschoolers of Central Florida, Inc. provide for the youth, but also their families. There are programs like Moms Night Out, BHCFL Family Retreat Weekend, and out-of-state and out-of-country trips for the families to connect, bond, learn and grow together. 


Our 4 programs of focus are The Lending Library,The Graduation/Awards Ceremony, the Guests/Classes/Field Trips Program, and Community Service. 

Brilliant Minds 4-H Club is a Homeschool Club, established in 2015 under the University of Florida IFAS Extension and the Volusia County 4-H Program.

4-H is a youth education program that provides children and young adults ages 5-18 the opportunity to learn skills they need to be productive members of society, good citizens, and leaders of tomorrow.

Brilliant Minds 4-H Club has provided sewing, cooking, photography, theatre arts, public speaking, gardening, marine science, STEM classes, leadership and community service opportunities and more to homeschooled youth within the community.

Brilliant Minds 4-H Club and Black Homeschoolers of Central Florida, Inc. partner throughout the year to expand learning experiences for the youth they serve.
